THE QUICK ANSWER

How much is HighLevel AI Employee?

HighLevel currently documents three AI pricing options per enabled location: pay-per-use with no separate monthly AI subscription, Growth at $50/month, and Unlimited at $97/month. Growth includes 1,000 Conversation AI Agent responses and 100 shared Voice AI Agent minutes per month. Unlimited includes supported Conversation and Voice AI usage subject to fair use. Phone System charges remain separate on every option. These AI prices are additional to the applicable HighLevel platform plan. [1] [2]

WHO THIS IS FOR

Agency owners and operators pricing AI for real client work

This guide is most useful if you need to forecast cost per client location before enabling AI conversations or voice calls.

  • Agency owners: Decide which locations need AI, what to charge, and whether usage rebilling or a recurring resale offer fits your service.
  • Appointment businesses: Compare a narrow after-hours voice use case with the cost of handling calls and follow-up another way.
  • Operations leads: Set spending limits, monitor overages, and separate AI charges from phone charges.

The common pain is a quote that says “Unlimited AI” while a client still sees phone or other usage charges. The plan comparison below separates those cost categories.

AI Employee plans: pay-per-use, Growth and Unlimited

The published prices below are in USD and apply per enabled location. They are not a replacement for the agency's underlying HighLevel subscription. Included usage and product-specific rules can change. [2]

Do not assume every AI tool is included in Unlimited. HighLevel documents Agent Studio as pay-per-use across all three options, and other products have their own limits. Check the product you actually plan to use. [2]

Compare the platform before adding AI.

Review HighLevel's platform plans first, then budget separately for the AI tier and usage at each client location.

Why an Unlimited Voice AI call can still cost money

A phone conversation can create two categories of cost: AI processing and Phone System service. Unlimited covers supported Voice AI processing under fair-use terms; the phone portion remains billable. Growth includes 100 shared AI Agent minutes, after which supported AI usage can incur pay-per-use rates. Pay-per-use has no AI subscription but charges for the applicable voice processing components. [1] [2]

A simple cost formula

Platform plan + AI plan for each enabled location + AI overages or pay-per-use charges + Phone System charges + any other paid AI products.

Use your expected call minutes, response volume and number of enabled locations. The bill for one lightly used location can be very different from one serving every client call.

Budget examples: what would 200 AI calls per month cost?

Illustrative monthly budget, not a measured client result. Assume one client location receives 200 calls averaging three minutes each: 600 Voice AI minutes. All figures below are in USD.

Using OpenAI text-to-speech at $0.015/minute plus HighLevel's $0.045/minute Voice Engine rate gives $0.06/minute before LLM tokens and phone charges. This example uses the text-to-speech configuration, not speech-to-speech pricing. Rates checked September 23, 2026. Official Voice AI rates.

600 minutes at one location: AI subtotals, not the complete service bill
AI optionCalculationMonthly AI subtotal
Pay-per-use600 × $0.06$36 + LLM tokens
Growth$50 + (500 overage minutes × $0.06)$80 + overage LLM tokens
UnlimitedMonthly subscription$97 for covered usage, subject to fair use

Growth assumes all 100 included Voice AI minutes are available and overages are enabled. Subtotals exclude the platform subscription, phone service, taxes, setup, support and other paid products. Confirm in-account rates before quoting a client.

Price the complete service

Pay-per-use deserves consideration for this voice-only scenario. Compare actual token charges and other AI usage before choosing a plan. Add the time spent testing bookings, updating answers and handling failed calls to your delivery budget.

Other budgeting scenarios

One location on Growth: budget $50/month for its AI subscription. If its Voice AI use stays within the shared 100-minute allowance and Conversation AI stays within 1,000 Agent responses, those included portions do not create Growth overages. Add any Phone System charges and other separately billed products. A location that exceeds either allowance may create additional AI charges depending on its limit settings. [2]

Three locations on Unlimited: the documented AI subscriptions total $291/month (3 × $97), before the platform plan and any Phone System or separately billed product charges. This is an arithmetic example, not a quote for a particular agency. [2]

Before enabling a client, set a usage policy: who can turn AI on, what happens at a spending limit, and who checks the first invoice. HighLevel documents both notification and blocking options for AI usage limits. [2]

Use this budget to evaluate your setup.

Compare the platform subscription with your expected calls and support workload before committing to a client price.

Check HighLevel plans for your agency

Rebilling AI usage is different from reselling an AI plan

Rebilling passes supported usage costs to a client using an available markup or fixed-rate model. HighLevel's current documentation says an agency must be on the $497/month agency plan to rebill AI Employee usage. The agency remains responsible for HighLevel's underlying charge. [1]

Reselling offers Growth or Unlimited as a recurring client subscription at a client-facing price the agency configures. Check the available tier, client billing setup and margin inside the account before publishing an offer. Do not confuse a monthly resale price with reimbursement of usage costs. [1]

Before you set a client price

  1. Choose the AI use case and the locations that need access.
  2. Estimate normal and high-use months for responses and voice minutes.
  3. Separate AI charges from phone charges and any other paid products.
  4. Decide whether the client buys a recurring AI tier or pays for supported usage.
  5. Add onboarding, monitoring and support time to your margin calculation.

Which option should you shortlist?

Start with a single location and one workflow. Track actual volume, exceptions and human handoffs before enabling AI across every client account. This is our suggested evaluation method, not a HighLevel performance claim.

Common questions about AI Employee pricing

Is AI Employee included in the $97 HighLevel Starter plan?

Do not treat the matching $97 figures as the same charge. Starter is a platform plan; AI Employee Unlimited is a separate $97/month AI option per enabled location. Check the plan and AI controls in your account. [3] [2]

Does AI Employee Unlimited include unlimited Voice AI minutes?

HighLevel says supported inbound, outbound and widget Voice AI is included under Unlimited, subject to fair use. Phone System charges still apply to calls. [1]

What happens after Growth's 100 Voice AI minutes?

Additional Voice AI use is billed at applicable pay-per-use rates if the location's limit settings allow it. Check whether your account is configured to continue, notify or block at the limit. [2]

Can an agency mark up AI usage for clients?

HighLevel documents supported usage rebilling with markup or fixed-rate options for eligible agencies on the $497/month agency plan. Confirm product eligibility and client billing settings before relying on the margin. [1]
